Hello, my name is Chef Jose Rodriguez and I am glad you have taken a moment to learn more about Zohra's and what our restaurant is all about. I am a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts College. I spent 9 years working as a Sous Chef for Radisson Resort at Celebration followed by several years as a Banquets Chef for Gaylord Palms Resort. Zohra's is my long awaited arrival to small time dining. I enjoyed working for large resorts and learned much but my passion is serving great artistic food on a personal level. I believe just like in life there are no shortcuts in cooking. I work with true sauces not packaged formulations. I select my meat personally and have full confidence in the ingredients I use. My favorite part of working for myself is the ability to change the menu up as often as I like. Which is about every ten days it keeps me growing and learning new dishes. I believe I am far from learning all the food out there and each time we change it up it is a new adventure for us.
Zohra's is a family affair. My wife of 12 years Bonnie is in the front of the house most days and assures our guest needs are met. She has always been the cornerstone in our family and she fits well into the mold at Zohra's. We have three beautiful little girls who visit often to see Daddy in the kitchen and learn the art of food. My sister Mickey is also in the front of the house waiting on the guest and coordinating our banquets. My brother Enrique is here with me in the kitchen which is nice to have a right hand man. My newest family member to join me is my name sake my nephew Jose. As you can see we all have come together as a family to make Zohra's happen it is a blessing to be with them each day.
